Another week, another awesome member!
This week, we are featuring Conroy Stout!
Conroy recently graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Master’s Degree in Communication. His thesis focused on political communication through social media.
“I am a Cheyenne Native and a bit of an oddity here at the Second Floor,” he says. “I do not have a job or a business I run from the co-working space. Instead, I am working on finding a job in my field. I do help to run a small non-profit that supports the scouting in Cheyenne and the surrounding area – like the Boy Scouts and co-ed scouting like the Venture Crews.”
<< Full disclosure: we don’t think that makes him an oddity at all! >>
Conroy likes to spend time in the great outdoors, going backpacking, mountain-biking, and camping.
“Over the last year, I have also been able embrace my wanderlust, traveling to the UK, France, Jamaica and Canada, as well as a few of the most beautiful place that the United States has to offer – from famous National Parks including Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Badlands, to South Beach in Miami and Niagara Falls in New York. And I still would love to travel more.”
When he isn’t traveling far and wide, he enjoys reading, mostly in the Sci-Fi and Fantasy genres, but also news and current events.
“I like to spend my time keeping up with current events and trends in the political sphere,” he says, “and thinking about ways to better our political process or at least the communication that is currently making it so hard for our system to run smoothly.”
Conroy, we are so happy to have you here with us on The Second Floor, and thank you so much for sharing!
