2016 - PRESENT // COWORKING
Our amazing downtown space has been given a makeover and transformed into Cheyenne’s first coworking office space, complete with a mid-century vibe - just one of our many nods to the building’s vintage roots.
We offer an open space environment, as well as dedicated desks and private office suites. All memberships include access to our break room and conference spaces. Plus, free Paramount drip coffee, and craft beer on tap.
1904 - 1915 // The paris of the west
Built in 1904, the four-story Capitol Avenue Theater hosted its first live show in August of that same year. Cheyenne’s access to the railroad afforded patrons the opportunity to attend theatre productions previously seen only in the big cities for a ticket price of 25¢ to $1. In 1915 fire destroyed much of the stage, which could not be rebuilt to its original grandeur.
1930 - 1981 // Movie Theater + offices
Remodeling in 1930 transformed the stage into a movie house and the theater became known as the Paramount. Existing offices were turned into a hotel in the 1950s, only to be returned to offices at a later date. In 1981 an arson fire destroyed all but the offices, retail space, and projection room. The projection room remains to this day, with the theater being replaced by a parking lot - which showcases some of the best mural art Cheyenne has to offer.
